Oklahoma State Big 12 men’s basketball schedule is set

Texas will make two appearances on ESPN’s “Big Monday” men’s basketball broadcasts this season and have the most hard road trips finished by January 21, according to the Big 12 schedule released Thursday. That game will air in the same slot on the same channel as the Oklahoma contest. The Sooners will begin their league schedule at home against Baylor on Friday, Dec. 30, and will have all 18 of their conference games televised nationally on an ESPN network.

The Cowboys open conference play with a home game against West Virginia on December 30. In February, Tech will have two Monday night games against Baylor on Feb. 13 and Iowa State on Feb. 20. In all, Iowa State’s schedule features 21 games against teams that played in a postseason tournament.

Perhaps OU’s biggest annual home game, Kansas will travel to Norman on January 10. There’s a winnable four-game stretch from Jan 23-Feb. In addition to the exhibition contests vs. Washburn (Nov. 1) and Emporia State (Nov. 6), the other Jayhawk TV men’s basketball games include: Nov. 18 vs. Siena and Nov. 25 vs. UNC Asheville, which are both CBE Hall of Fame Classic host games, Nov. 29 vs.

Kicking off postseason action, the 2017 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship will be held March 3-6 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Additionally, Kansas welcomes one of the top recruiting classes for the 2016-17 season with guard Josh Jackson, center Udoka Azubuike and forward Mitch Lightfoot.
