“She could have even blacked out”, Coleman said. The university could not be reached immediately to clarify the discrepancy.
Marvin Stone, 65, was a retired professor and researcher in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering.
Witnesses told of bodies being flung dozens of feet into the air as the auto barreled into the festive throng at the intersection of Main Street and Hall of Fame Avenue to watch an annual parade before an OSU football game.
Tony Coleman, Chambers’ attorney, said at a news conference in Oklahoma City that he believed his client suffers from a mental illness and that there was no indication that she was drinking before the crash. Police are awaiting results of a blood test administered to the suspect after the crash.
Madison Atwell, 7, had six broken ribs, a concussion and stitches after the crash, her family said in a statement released through a hospital spokesman. “He was a joy to be around and absolutely nothing can be done to make up for the loss we have suffered”.
Chamber’s father, Floyd Chambers, aunt, Lynda Bransetetter and boyfriend, Jesse Gaylord spoke to media today, October 26. He described her as timid and not an alcoholic. Seventeen of them remained hospitalized, including five in critical condition, Gibbs said.
Police also listed the names and ages of the 36 adults injured in the incident, and said the 11 injured children ranged in age from 1 to 13, but withheld their names. Three adults and a 2-year-old boy were killed and at least 46 others were hurt, including at least four critically injured. Eleven of those treated for injuries were 13 and younger, including a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old and four 6-year-olds, Stillwater police said.
Nash is the two-year-old son of Niki Strauch, an OSU student and former Weatherford Okla resident, and Josh Lucas, formerly of Weatherford, Okla and a current Oklahoma City resident.
