Texas’ seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate increased to 4.6 percent in July, up just a notch from 4.5 percent percent in June.

Calhoun County, the state’s 17th highest in unemployment, saw its rate remain at 6.4 percent in July.
Kings gained 1,100 jobs in July, adding positions in farm-related employment and food processing.
Nebraska’s unemployment rate rose to 3.1 percent last month from a revised 3 percent in June, and up from 3 percent a year ago.
Historically, the county’s rate was a low 3.4 percent in December of 2000.
The statewide jobless rate for June was 4.5 percent, up one-tenth of a percentage point from May.
The Idaho Department of Labor said strong growth, a continued demand for workers and an increase in people looking for work moved Idaho’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate. Job losses over the year were reported in manufacturing, information and mining and logging. “Since this time past year, most of our neighbors in the South have matched or exceeded North Carolina’s pace of job creation, and we are still well below historical levels of employment”.

“This jobs report confirms what a lot of people in the business community have known for a while, which is the economy in Dayton and the rest of the state is really picking up and has been gaining steam for the past several years”, Baker said. Within the major industries, there were job gains in Leisure and Hospitality (+1,400), Educational and Health Services (+300), Other Services (+200), and Financial Activities (+100).
