Oklahome State vs. Ole Miss: Point Spread & Over-Under
Following No. 16 Ole Miss’ final full practice on Wednesday, the players who met with the media didn’t sugar coat what’s at stake in Friday’s Sugar Bowl against No. 13 Oklahoma State. The whole package of size, speed, hands and body control, he caught 76 passes for 1,082 yards and eight touchdowns…. “At 6’5” and 305 pounds, Tunsil was the last person expected to be making touchdown runs.

Instead of collapsing, Ole Miss picked itself up, dusted itself off and just blew the doors off Oklahoma State.
The Rebels (10-3) showed plenty of playbook moxie during the win, jumping out to a 34-6 lead at halftime by mixing their standard offense with a few trick plays that kept the Cowboys reeling all night.
“I would say this was the best game we’ve played all year”, first-season MI coach Jim Harbaugh said.
Quarterback Chad Kelly completed 21-of-33 passes for 302 yards and four touchdowns and rushed 10 times for 73 yards, while wide receiver Laquon Treadwell caught six passes for 71 yards and three touchdowns.
Northwestern (10-3) sputtered offensively and was unable to keep up with the stronger, faster Vols defensively in falling short on a bid to finish with a school-record 11 victories.
Midway through the third, the Landshark D came up big again as Terry Caldwell forced a fumble and Breeland Speaks recovered, setting up another score just a minute later. Not so great. As long as Chad Kelly holds on to the ball, I give Ole Miss the edge here. Ole Miss 34, Oklahoma State 31. The Rebels beat the Cowboys 554-366 in total yards on Friday. “I’m anxious to get out there and see what we can do against them”. Both of these guys know how quickly football can be taken away – Treadwell because of the gruesome leg injury that ended his 2014 season; Tunsil because of the NCAA investigation that cost him the first seven games this season.
It was Ole Miss’ first Sugar Bowl appearance since 1970 and the 48 points were the most Ole Miss had ever scored in a bowl game.
OSU kicker Ben Grogan’s field-goal percentage in bowl games. Oklahoma State Cowboys rank at 14 for 40.3 road passing yards where as Mississippi Rebels rank at 85 for allowing 29.0 passing yards at home.
Tight end Evan Engram also caught six passes for 96 yards, while wide receiver Cody Core added four receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. Walsh, who entered the game with 24 total touchdowns and just one interception as a situational threat, played most of the second half in his final college game.
For the first time in 45 years, the Ole Miss Rebels will be looking for a sweet end to their season. “We felt comfortable with the lead we had at that moment and really thought that could be somewhat of a dagger to end the first half”. Eli Manning was the quarterback of the Rebels’ 2004 team. “I’ll definitely take a lot more snaps there than I have in the past”, Johnson said.

Ole Miss looks well positioned for the future as well. The Rebels standout could also be a first-round pick in the draft. It will need to be on top of its game against a top Oklahoma State offense. The loss to Ole Miss made it three straight defeats for Mike Gundy’s club – a group that was unbeaten at 10-0 and sat at No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings in Week 12.
