“All the pros talk about the marking”.
Ola’s gracious comments come after she slammed Strictly judges for manipulating their scores in order to keep the acts that they prefer in the competition. “Why are they trying to over-mark that person?'”.
Ola claimed that it ruins the fun of the show, and went on to suggest the pairings of celebrities and pros was also done to influence which dancers would progress on the show.
“Any suggestion that the scores are “fixed” is nonsense”. I love Strictly, I’ve had an wonderful time and I owe it so much. No one is saying it to production. Now they watch training for the opening group dance so they can see who’s good and who’s not and how people learn. This year, the standard is so high, but it’s so predictable.
She seemed to deliberately avoid any mention of or thanks towards the show’s producers after reportedly falling out with them over her husband James Jordan’s unceremonious sacking in 2014. Maybe he needed a few press. “I wouldn’t slag his book off. He should be supporting dancers, but he isn’t because we tell it how it is”.
“Some very senior staff at the BBC have become aware of what she has said, which could damage the reputation of one of the most popular shows on television – which of course is always run in a completely fair way”.
“I’ve been thinking about it for such a long time”, she said.
“.Things change and I feel it’s time for me to move onto other things I love Strictly and have met a few unbelievable people and made a few great…friends who I will miss massively I am so grateful to the show for what it has given me…”
“I don’t want to be part of the show if I’m just making up the numbers”.

And yesterday it emerged top brass had blacklisted her from future projects as a result of the comments – deciding there was no way back after her outrageous claims.
