MARK WARBURTON could not hide his disappointment and frustration after his Rangers side suffered a 5-1 defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic at Parkhead this afternoon.

They now lead the league by one point with a game in hand over Rangers after three wins out of three against the three sides that finished second, third and fourth last season.

After Joe Garner pulled one back for Rangers, Dembele supplied an assist for Scott Sinclair and snatched his third of the game with seven minutes remaining, before Stuart Armstrong rounded off the scoring in second-half stoppage time.

There were even calls for the Old Firm fixture to be scrapped after an infamous match in 2011, when three players were sent off, the two managers squared up to each other at the final whistle and 187 fans were detained by police on the day of the game.

Rangers go into this game with the pressure off away from home and with less experience than their opponents which does make them unsafe but as both sets of players and Managers will know, the Old Firm Derby is like no other match in world football with the pace and atmosphere likely to be second to none.

Celtic kept its flawless start with four wins in four matches.

That is Rodgers’ only change for the game at Celtic Park with former Liverpool defender Kolo Toure set to experience his first Glasgow derby.

Celtic won the last league clash between the sides 3-0 four years ago before going on to claim the first of five consecutive titles while Rangers, record 54-times Scottish champions, fought their way back to the Premiership. “And if we do that, we will be in a good place”.

The completion of that journey means business has returned to normal and they meet on Saturday with Celtic and Rangers occupying the top two spots. What I expect is a good game of football, I hope a high-quality game of football and I hope it is one that goes our way.

Rodgers said, “I think he has shown great discipline”.

“Anyone you play will have their spells whether they are trying to get back into a game or are trying to hold on to a result”.

“We just got beaten 5-1, so I’m not going to sit here like an idiot”, Warburton was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
