Ole Miss Rebels vs. Auburn Tigers
Inside Ole Miss Sports reported coach Hugh Freeze cleared Nkemdiche to play Wednesday.

No. 19 Ole Miss (6-2) looks to win their second straight in this one against Auburn (4-3).
With the game against Ole Miss falling on October 31, Halloween came early for the city of Auburn. The Tigers (4-3, 1-3) are touchdown underdogs in a season they started as the league favorite. “Sunday, coach Freeze was talking in the meeting, and he wasn’t even talking about Auburn but it was in the back of my head”. On two of its last three visits to Jordan-Hare Stadium, Ole Miss was ranked No. 24 each time, and Auburn wasn’t ranked at all. That game marked the return of offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, who had been suspended all season during an NCAA eligibility investigation.
After the emotional loss and the months of rehab he went through to get back on the field, Treadwell said this game carries an extra meaning for him.
BEST VS. WORST: Behind QB Chad Kelly, Ole Miss has the league’s top offense in scoring, total yards and passing. He’s resumed his starring role, leading the SEC in receiving and looking forward to playing the Tigers in particular.
“They’re going to feel my pain”, Treadwell said.
“I didn’t think about it, but once I found out we played them this week, it sparked a fire in me”, Treadwell said.
PROTECTING THE BALL: Auburn quarterback Sean White has mostly avoided turnovers but he’s facing a defense that excels at causing them.
Ole Miss junior DL Robert Nkemdiche is expected to play in Saturday’s game against Auburn after sitting out due to a concussion. Auburn DE Carl Lawson has returned to practice from a hip injury but his status for the game is uncertain.
ON THE REBOUND: Auburn must try to bounce back quickly from a four-overtime defeat at Arkansas.

“Last year I was bigger, more dominant”, Treadwell said. “If they beat us, they’ll have to beat us fighting, and I don’t think that’s possible if we all go out there and we play together like we did this past weekend”. “Our coaches are in it with them, so that’s where we’re at, and we will continue to get better”.
