Ole Miss’ Robert Nkemdiche cleared to play against Auburn

Auburn’s offense is starting to look more comfortable following back-to-back 400+ yard efforts against Kentucky and Arkansas but Ole Miss is a different animal and War Eagle simply doesn’t have much big play capability.

Ole Miss defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche has been cleared to play less than two weeks after suffering a concussion, according to reports. Throughout Wednesday.’s SEC coaches teleconference, Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin appeared to point last Saturday can be the last time the gifted Ole Miss receiver would terrorize his defense.

Conner sustained a torn meniscus against Alabama on September 19. Nkemdiche sat out last week’s contest against Texas A&M after waking up the morning of the game with headaches.

The Rebels travel to Auburn for Saturday’s 11 a.m. game, which complicates Conner’s situation.

Freeze – who said Conner will require another surgery after the season to completely fix his knee – expects to make that determination Thursday.

“Rob’s been acclimated, he’s just got to be symptom-free, which he is right now”, Freeze said. “Whether it’s this week or next week, I don’t know yet”. “But he’s definitely close to trying it. We’ll see from there”.
