Olly Murs has revealed how he is dealing with his love split, admitting it has been a “difficult couple of weeks”.

But Olly blames Simon Cowell for “stirring the pot” when it comes to rumours between the pair, while reaffirming nothing will ever happen between him and Caroline.

Stressing that he and the Strictly Come Dancing victor are just friends despite their undeniable on-screen chemistry, he said: “Me and Caroline have always said hundreds of times (in interviews) that we’re never going to get together, we’re just really good mates”. Aren’t they?’, and it’s silly.

They said: “Being with the judges and contestants at this crucial stage is one of the best bits of the job”.

With a string of chart-topping hits such as Troublemaker and Dance With Me Tonight, over 10 million record sales and having just completed a 32-date tour of Europe and Australia, it’s fair to say Olly is enjoying himself. It’s quite raw still. “You should get rid of her and go out with me”.

Within quite literally days of splitting up from his long-term girlfriend there was talk of Olly getting together with his co-host.

So it looks like we shouldn’t hold out any hope for the on-screen partnership to turn into a “full-time” partnership. We’re always here if you need a shoulder to cry on…
