Despite viewers immediately suggesting that the show is a fix, Olly insisted that that is definitely not the case. If that had happened to me I probably would have chinned Dermot, ‘ he told Alan Carr on tonight’s episode of Chatty Man.

He explained: “I walked in like, ‘Simon, I am so sorry, ‘ and he was just like, ‘Oh, it’s fine, don’t worry about it.’ He was really cool about it. Phew!”

If it’s true that Simon has urged Olly and Caroline to avoid checking their phones during live shows, then it’s a sad indictment on the extent of the unnecessary cruelty that is commonplace online these days. That is what really hurt me the most. ‘I went on Twitter for 2 seconds & I threw my phone.

He revealed: ‘Sunday is the hardest.

Only recently co-host Caroline Flack was the target of people on Twitter who attacked her weight on the show. That is all we have ever been. I felt really bad for her and I couldn’t have apologised more. “But thank god I’m not awful…”

“Francesca and I had some great times together so to get through the break-up I’ve had to throw myself into work and keep busy”.

He continued: ‘I had these cheesy chat up lines and the questions that me and Grimmy had were so creepy and I was like, “Man, I really like this girl”. The 31-year-old presenter had no probability of forgetting concerning the mishap when he appeared on Alan Carr Chatty Man, with the flamboyant host clever to listen to his ideas on the matter.
