Olympians Lochte, Hernandez among ‘Dancing With the Stars’ cast
The weirdest choice though is probably former Texas governor Rick Perry, who ran for president in 2012 but lost the Republican candidacy to Mitt Romney.

There are a few surprises in the cast list below, but two of the celebrities rumored to be dancing – Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and RHONJ star Teresa Giudice – will not be dancing this season.
Lochte’s not the only Olympian who will be on the dance floor this season.
Perry will join the Season 23 cast, along with fellow Texan Vanilla Ice, retired football player Calvin Johnson, Indy race vehicle driver James Hinchcliffe and Olympians Laurie Hernandez and Ryan Lochte.
Muva’s putting her dancing shoes on! Maksim Chmerkovskiy is paired up with talk show host/model/actress, and complete unknown to me, Amber Rose.
See all the dancing and drama when Dancing With the Stars season 23 premieres on ABC on Monday, September 12, at 8 p.m. ET. I don’t want to get caught up in it. “I reached out to Jimmy [Feigen] saying, ‘I know you had to pay that fine”. Ryan Lochte needs a bit of that after the debacle at that Rio gas station.
ABC revealed on Tuesday morning’s “Good Morning America” that the Olympic swimmer will be a cast member on season 23 of “Dancing with the Stars”. “I’m dedicated to helping #veterans however possible, and I’m going to use @dancingabc as a stage to do that”, Perry tweeted Tuesday. Pro dancers Derek Hough, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Cheryl Burke also return.
Season 23 of “Dancing with the Stars” cast was officially released today, but there were no surprises as this show was a leaky ship with almost everyone onboard being told to media outlets. “I’m going to treat this like going into the Olympics …”
This season seems power packed with personalities – since Hough and Chmerkovskiy are back in the ballroom together, despite years of feuding.

But still – Lochte wants everyone to just get over it already: “Everyone’s got to be sick and exhausted of hearing about this. This is completely new for me”, he said in a statement.
