Olympic diver Daniel Goodfellow’s mother hits out at front pages
After Daniel Goodfellow and Tom Daley won the bronze in men’s synchronized diving at Rio 2016, Britain’s papers cropped Daniel out of photos to focus exclusively on Tom!

Tom Daley won his second Olympic bronze by finishing third alongside Dan Goodfellow.
“Last night me and Dan got an Olympic bronze medal and we’re so over the moon with how it went because we’ve only been diving together since last October”.
Adam Peaty has won Britain’s first medal of the 2016 Rio Olympics taking gold in the men’s 100 metres breaststroke and setting a new world record.
Tom trained at the Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre, Garon Park, Eastern Avenue, Southend with Team GB for his diving in the 2012 London Olympics.
Daley added: “It was an agonising wait that felt like it was an eternity”.
“We have seen them dive together before and we knew they were quite good”.
“It helps me work out where they stand and it was a very tense moment but at the end we knew it was coming”.
“We were just waiting and waiting with replay after replay, then all of a sudden the scores came up”.
On the other hand, U.S. achieved silver with David Boudia and Steele Johnson scoring 457.11 and China’s Chen Aisen and Lin Yue bringing glory to their nation by earning a gold medal with a score of 496.98. “The way you look at him makes my heart melt, such a handsome couple”, wrote one user underneath the photo – and we can only agree! When she saw a tweet of The Daily Telegraph cover she asked the poster, “Is this for real?” and told another she’d just done her first bit of “media bashing” in defense of her 19-year old son. Then I met him and thought, “This guy won’t want to be with me unless I’m successful at what I do”. It’s given me a taste and now I want to go and get some more. Do you think Tom Daley will finally win a gold medal this year?
“I’ve been doing all sorts”, Daley said.
‘It’s going to be a really tough competition, because I’ve got some really strong rivals, ‘ he added.
“I’m going into these Olympic Games for a gold medal”, Daley said following a practice session at the Olympic venue.
“I don’t think we can come out of this competition without medals”.
‘You have to be a little bit scared and have a little bit of an adrenaline rush, but at the same time I do feel I’m at my most comfortable right now, yes’.
As the historic victory sank in he proclaimed: “I did it for my country because that means so much to me”.
Goodfellow who made his Olympic debut in Rio explained after collecting his medal, “I wasn’t really thinking about Europeans in that last dive”.

But they said they always had faith that Tom and partner Dan would secure the third place. He was still elated that he and Tom took home an Olympic medal.
