Olympics 2016: Haitian hurdler Jeffrey Julmis crashes but gets up again
However, he managed to crawl under the second hurdle and then got up to rush to the finish line where sports enthusiasts gave him a standing ovation.

Just like New Zealand’s Nikki Hamblin and United States competitor Abbey D’Agostino, who both finished their 5000m heat after falling, Julmis runner did eventually get up, crawled under the second hurdle and finished the race.
But his quest to qualify for the final was nearly over before it began, as he clumsily clattered into the first hurdle and hit the deck. But despite being hampered, he shuffled on unperturbed, finishing in a time of 25.56, almost 12 seconds behind the second-last place getter.
Despite the blunder, Julmis got up and finished the race, which drew cheers from the Brazilian crowd. “It felt good the crowd cheering me on”.

Unfortunately for Haitian hurdler Jeffrey Julmis, that’s exactly what happened in his 100 meter hurdles semifinal in Rio on Tuesday. If you forget all the hard work he’s surely put in to even make it to the semi-finals, it’s hilarious.
