The Brazilian women play South Africa at the Rio Olympics on Tuesday and local fans have become enamored of the team as their men’s team continues to disappoint.

The first-ever women’s rugby medals were awarded Monday, with Australia winning gold over New Zealand. Simone Biles, 19, Gabby Douglas, 20, Aly Raisman, 22, Madison Kocian, 19, and Laurie Hernandez, 16, will hereby be known as the “Final Five”, which they announced upon bringing home the gold after completely slaying the competition. While there are more medals for the Americans to win in the individual all-around and apparatus events, seeing her team win another team all-around gold medal is a good note for Karolyi to end her career on.

Not the USA, who clocked 12 hit routines over the four events. Raisman is the reigning Olympic champion on floor while Biles is the reigning world champion, and they showed why.

Rio will be the last Olympics to see five-member gymnastics teams. This rule will apply to both the men’s and women’s teams.

Prior to the Games, the International Olympic Committee announced it would put in place of a mechanism for the Rio Olympics participants to report incidents of abuse or harassment in a bid to protect the athletes, for the first time in the Games’ history. It was a second successive team title for the U.S.

Douglas admits her role on the team has changed since London 2012. Not even Brazil’s soccer team in their first match at the Games attracted a capacity crowd.
