Olympics: Speed king Kenny just wants to get back home
A photo of United States swimmer Joseph Schooling meeting his inspiration, the record-breaking Michael Phelps, went viral this year after Schooling BEAT him to the gold medal in the Men’s 100m butterfly – and set an Olympic record in the process.

Australian cycling’s flagship track program faces a searching review after Great Britain dominated for the third-straight Olympics.
Britain has won 20 of the 30 golds going back to Beijing 2008.
Trott had earlier in the evening retained her women’s omnium title, meaning that the couple now have a total of 10 Olympic gold medals between them.
Their relationship first came to light once the London 2012 track competition had finished, when they were pictured with Prince Harry and then David Beckham at the beach volleyball at Horse Guards Parade.
He noted that there were improvements on the track from the March world championships to Rio.
“It’s just that it seems that they don’t train for three years, and then they start and at every Olympic Games they kill every nation!”
British Cycling famously leave nothing to chance, but even the marginal gains gurus behind another golden haul in Rio could not have imagined they might be starting a dynasty when Laura Trott and Jason Kenny joined the team. Trott said the Brits simply do not have the same equipment outside of the Olympics.
“It would be nice to get back to a bit of normality”, Kenny said.
‘We had an open day at the garage and we put on the invites that Jason Kenny would be on site to meet people.
When it hosted the Olympics four years ago, GB won 65 medals.
There was a tense end to the track cycling meeting when Kenny was among the riders to be in danger of being disqualified, but after uncertainty they were given the all clear.
She also won both events in London.
Trott told the BBC: “You think of people like Sir Chris Hoy who come here and do it time and time again, and to be able to repeat my success in London, honestly”.
“It’s not about beating the Brits”, Vogel said. “We have incredible faith in the athletes and our sports and with a number of them still to compete we are hopeful of creating yet more history and new heroes and heroines”.
THE UK’s most successful female Olympian has been forced to defend her sister after a television interview following the British team’s success at the Rio velodrome. “It actually makes me more stressed watching Jason because I’m not in control of it”.

British Olympic Association chief executive officer Bill Sweeney said: “We said we believed this to be our most talented Team GB squad and everything we have seen to-date has proven that to be true”.
