Great Britain’s James Guy says that he was content with his performance in the men’s 200m freestyle final despite missing out on a medal.

China’s Sun Yang – the subject of controversy here after serving a previous drugs ban – won gold, with South Africa’s Chad Le Clos claiming silver.
It was China’s first swimming gold medal of the Rio Games.
Sun will not be a popular victor in Australia after his very public and bitter row with Horton over the Chinese swimmer’s doping violation (or “mistake” according to his country’s Olympic association).
And on his best mate, he said: “I watched Adam’s final in the crowd with my Mum and Dad”.
“I felt very sorry that I did not execute my responsibilities”, he said of the previous race. On Sunday Hosszu won the gold medal and broke the world record in the 400m individual medley.
“Tonight has been so insane. I was confident about winning the gold”, he added.
“He’s here. I’ve got to deal with it and move on”.
Russia’s Yulia Efimova took silver in 1:05.50 and the USA’s Katie Meili bronze in 1:05.69.
Defending champion Ruta Meilutyte, the Lithuanian based in Plymouth, was seventh in 1:07.32.
Only the two Olympic records fell on a quieter night in the pool.
She is now the joint fifth fastest in history after equalling the time Ye Shiwen of China set en route to London 2012 gold.
“I hope that [swimming’s world governing body] FINA is going to react and stop this massacre, because it is getting sad”.
The result at Rio’s Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre means China has won both of the diving gold medals to have been decided so far at the Rio Games. And Fu’s compatriot Shi Jinglin would come fourth in the women’s 100-meter breaststroke final later in the day.
The mighty throw took place after Sun Yang took the men’s 200m freestyle event, registering the field’s only sub-1:45 mark (1:44.65). Beidermann finished sixth with 1:45.84.
Olympic record holder Emily Seebohm of Australia was seventh, 0.74sec behind Hosszu.
