Law enforcement officials said authorities are considering filing criminal charges against her for failing to tell them what she knew before the attack, but no decision has been made about that.

A federal grand jury has reportedly been convened and Salman could be charged today.
The wife of the gunman who killed 49 people at an Orlando gay nightclub has come under increasing scrutiny by officials over whether she had knowledge of the attack beforehand.
The second wife of Orlando gunman Omar Mateen has stayed mostly silent in the aftermath of the her husband’s rampage at the gay nightclub that left 49 dead.
According to Omar Mateen’s fifth-grade classmates, the 10-year-old future terrorist was once suspended for two weeks after he threatened to bring a gun to school and kill all of his classmates.
The Los Angeles Times reported earlier on Monday that Mateen had visited the Pulse nightclub on several occasions before the shooting, and had even used a gay dating app to contact regulars at the club.
Even if Mrs. Salman knew about the pending attack, it’s unclear the extent to which she may have felt able to warn law enforcement.
US President Obama, meanwhile, said that Mateen appeared to be “self-radicalised”, and that there was “no clear evidence that he was directed externally” or that the attack on the nightclub was part of a broader plot.
Smith and Callen chose to keep their distance from Mateen after they saw him pull a knife at Pulse and threaten another patron, they told the Canadian news agency.
There have been reports that Mateen showed anger at seeing two men kissing, but his father has told Sky News a normal reaction would have been to say “it’s a free country”.
A fellow security guard who worked alongside Mateen in 2014 and 2015 described him to West Palm Beach’s WPTV as “an angry person, violent in nature and a bigot to nearly every class of person”.
Smith said he’d seen Mateen at Pulse “at least a dozen times”, joining three others who said they’d seen the shooter at the club before.
Sitora Yusufiy, who was married to Mateen in 2009 for four months, said he had a violent temper, but could not confirm whether his pledged allegiance to the Islamic State terror group was the main driving force behind his actions on Sunday.

Cord Cedeno, another Pulse regular – and one of the patrons who told the Sentinel that he’d seen Mateen at the club before – also told MSNBC he’d seen Mateen on a gay hookup app.
