The Ferns Academy raised more than £250, which will be split between the Children in Need appeal and the British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Elissa Coster, The Brain Tumour Charity’s children and families services manager, said: “Our families had a wonderful day during rehearsals and filming. We had the usual superhero costumes but the girls dressing up as their dad was also very cute”.

It was fantastic to welcome Pudsey Bear to Goldsborough.

Charlie Orgill, aged six, and his brother Arthur, aged four, who attend St Stephens and All Martyrs Primary School in Darcy Lever went in dressed as a Roman soldier and as King Arthur respectively.

Fourteen-year-old Rosie Rickards, who won a Pride of Andover award for her courage after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, will be performing live from Arundel Castle joining 1500 children from 10 locations across the United Kingdom, as part of the BBC Children in Need Choir on Friday evening’s charity TV all-nighter (November 13).

Look out for Pudsey-branded cake stands available to buy exclusively in Greggs shops – and if you don’t have time to bake, Greggs will also have everything you need to fill your cake-stands with.

The money raised or donated will go towards helping disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.
