On Faith: Christmas display lights up church from vehicle window

Quilts, bibs, tote bags and other craft items will be sold.

“Unspeakable Joy!”, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, in the church sanctuary. Pre-sale tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and children are free up to age 12.

Villa Maria College and the Riviera Theatre will present funk rock band McLovins with special guest Dream Spectrum, an instrumental hard rock quartet, in concert at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda.

Christmas Day Lessons and Carols: St. Jacob’s (Stone) UCC, 5152 Stone Church Road, Glenville, will have lessons and carols on Christmas Day at 10 a.m.to celebrate Jesus’ birth.

Prior to the service, there will be coffee, cookies and a time for fellowship beginning at 9:45 a.m.in the church’s fellowship hall.

The Livermore-Pleasanton Interfaith Clergy Association will host a public candlelight prayer vigil from 7-7:30 p.m. tomorrow in front of Lynnewood United Methodist Church, 4444 Black Ave.in Pleasanton.

Music by the Inspirational Choir, Male Chorus, the youth and children’s choirs will be featured. All ladies are invited to attend Bible study.

By His Hands: food and clothing bank at Calvary Assembly of God, 95 Pumping Station Road, Hanover, is open 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m.to noon the first Saturday of each month. The meal is being held in memory of Bobbie Vandalia, who led the effort each year until her death. On December 24 at 5:00 p.m. we will offer a family service focusing on the Jesse Tree and at 10:00 p.m.is our Candlelight Service. The soup supper begins at 5 p.m., with the youth groups singing at 5:30 p.m. The auction of gift baskets to benefit the “Christmas for Kids” will start at 6 p.m. A visit from Santa will round out the evening’s festivities at 6:30 p.m. Parents can bring cameras to take pictures of their children with Santa.
