On Friday Afternoon’s Late Clinton Notes Release — FBI’s Comey
“Hillary Clinton put her emails on a secret server nobody knew about except for the man that was given the fifth”, he continued, referring to Clinton’s former IT aide who has invoked his Fifth Amendment rights and refused to talk. The FBI’s recently released summaries of its investigation did not offer any evidence contradicting their statements. AP material published by LongIsland.com, is done so with explicit permission. That’s because the congressional inquiry into the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, in which four Americans were killed, had issued a formal order to preserve such records. The FBI opted not to recommend criminal charges against Clinton. The GOP is pressing the Justice Department to open a new investigation into whether Clinton committed perjury.

While I’m no fan of Donald Trump, I think a comparison between the two candidates’ aversion to the truth is useful. Chaffetz said “Secretary Clinton has fought this every step of the way”.
In the message, dated January 23, 2013, the US ambassador to Brazil at the time, Thomas Shannon, praised the then-secretary of state’s Senate testimony about the September 11, 2012, attack that killed ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
Powell said he had “a personal computer that was hooked up to a private phone line.so I could communicate with a wide range of friends directly without it going through the State Department servers”.
When it comes to Clinton’s handling of classified information, still more excuses crop up.
The documents provided no bombshells, instead offering further insight into Comey’s conclusions that Clinton did not knowingly send or receive classified information over her server, but was nonetheless “extremely careless” in handling classified information. They also reveal new excuses so ridiculous they require us to believe she is not deceitful, just incompetent.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation files, the engineer told agents that “he believed he had an ‘oh (expletive)’ moment”, and deleted the archived emails sometime during the last week of March 2015. In the week following the call, he deleted the files.
“The email does not change the facts that have previously been made clear about the Benghazi attacks”, he said.
In a statement, Judicial Watch, the conservative group that has sued for Benghazi-related records, objected to the government’s withholding of what it called “printed internal technical metadata” on the two FBI-retrieved documents that were not included in a set of about 30,000 emails that Clinton’s lawyers previously deemed work-related and that she had returned to the State Department. Federal Bureau of Investigation agents found a Platte River “work ticket” for such a call on March 31, but they reported that the company’s attorney advised the unnamed engineer “not to comment on the conversation with Kendall based on the assertion of attorney-client privilege”.

Kendall and Cheryl Mills’ attorney were not immediately available to discuss Chaffetz’s letters.
