After years of retailers pushing store hours earlier and earlier from Black Friday into Thanksgiving, this year most stores are opening at the same time as last year.

Melody Wright, chief operating officer of privately held department store chain Von Maur, said the company plans to follow its 140-year tradition and keep its stores closed on Thanksgiving.
And with Thanksgiving emerging as the fastest-growing online sales day of the holiday season, retailers are also likely counting on being able to ring up big sales in that channel from shoppers who want an earlier start to gift-buying. To help you prepare for the onslaught of deals, Best Buy has posted a bunch of items that will be available at discounted prices. It also is spreading out the deals, with a handful being available November 25, the day before Thanksgiving.
Retailers are even pushing the same deals they usually offer on Black Friday online, making the trip to the store unnecessary.
Though there are Black Friday deals on a few popular Apple products, the iPad Pro does not seem to be included in those offers. The Friday after Thanksgiving, which falls on November 26 this year, is when retailers traditionally go “in the black” after being “in the red” nearly all year.
Best Buy is joining the ranks of retailers revealing their Black Friday shopping plans.
Black Friday is coming, and this year, retail outlets would be offering discounts once again to consumers.
Best Buy said almost all of its stores will remain remain open until 1 a.m. on Black Friday.
Target, Macy’s and Spears will all be opening their stores at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, according to USA Today.

Seek out free-shippers: Many retailers have already started free shipping offers during the holidays.
