During the “press conference” portion of the competition (the hellish rigors of the firemen date seems preferable now), Chad tells everyone he’s too “real” to act like he’s in love with JoJo, which, fair enough, but his approach is tin-eared. Back at the house, the remaining guys are all gathered around the window and watching Chad work out.
5. When He Admitted He Wasn’t Expecting to Actually Like JoJo: During Chad’s one-on-one time with JoJo, the self-proclaimed “a**hole” admitted a shocking revelation: he actually liked JoJo.
Besides Jojo thanking every single boy after they kissed her like Rory Gilmore when Dean first kisses her, the episode was filled with uncomfortable Chad moments more than romance with Jojo. During the entire group date proceedings, he kept interrupting others and it was really amusing when Evan could not take it anymore and cried at the miserable situation. Will Haduch went in for the first kiss of Bachelorette 2016, but JoJo wasn’t impressed. We just hope he does not go overboard.
In addition, on one of the group dates, the guys are asked to say who they believe to be the worst match for JoJo and there’s an overwhelming response against Chad. A bit more surprising is that Wells gets the date rose. Getting to know each other, JoJo learns that Derek has struggled with opening up in relationships after getting cheated on by his last serious girlfriend.
Firefighter Grant “rescued” Jojo from the top of a building in this week’s episode.. Johnson posted an Instagram photo of himself with his late mother, revealing that he spent several years taking care of her when she was battling cancer, so he really had no time for a personal life. Pity roses are against the brutal nature of the show, even for good guys like Wells.
Twitter isn’t the only crew to notice Chad’s Chad-ness. Meanwhile, hose-lover JoJo points 10 of her suitors towards a grueling training course at the Rio Hondo Fire Academy, then shoots them into the distance and watches them burn as they compete for her love/their survival.
Chad was pretty sketch about his time with JoJo and told the boys that his meeting with her was serendipitous. “I think my little radar has gotten better”, she explained. After a romantic dinner on the water and (an awkward) discussion about their exes, Derek also nabbed a rose before the night’s end. So yeah, JoJo’s playing favorites. “And while we didn’t spend too much time together, I do appreciate a man showing me that he wants to spend time with me”.
Everyone confronts Chad in a very passive-aggressive way, but he laughs in their faces and stalks off with his new sycophant Daniel behind him. Since Wells, Derek and James T., already received roses, it means it’s the end of the road for Will, Brandon and James S.

As this drama unfolds, JoJo enjoys a fake snowfall and Will (who?) makes her toilet-paper the house. He ate several plates of meat throughout the rose ceremony. Chad commented to the cameras, “She’s going to keep Alex around because she doesn’t want America to think she hates short people”.
