Pokemon Go’s Pokestop and gym owes much to Niantic’s players of Ingress, a multiplayer game that also has an augmented reality gameplay. They then collect the monsters and can use them to fight against other players in “gyms”, which tend to be landmarks such as the The Shard in London.

The Niantic CEO explained that the most popular sites in Ingress became the gyms for Pokemon Go while the rest where designated as Pokestops. That’s the reality of Pokemon Go, a widely successful game app that has users pounding the pavement of their hometowns in search of Pokemon lurking in restaurants, convenience stores, retailers and other businesses, Inc.com reports. Boon Sheridan from Holyoke, Massachusetts lives in a converted church which has become one of the game’s gyms, resulting in a flock of players gathering outside his house to train and compete for control. Check your Pokemon’s moves before attacking a gym to determine which Pokemon is most effective in battle. To play at these gyms, players must physically visit them.

However, there is a way to start off your adventure with the most famous Pokemon of them all: Pikachu.

You can sign in using your Google account or with the Pokemon Trainer Club. Another thing the game could do well with having is better tracking.

At its most basic level, Pokemon GO requires players to explore the world around them.

“It’s pretty obvious when someone walks by and they’re playing Pokemon”, Funkhouser said.

City Spirit Go was launched four months ago, few weeks after Japanese video game company Nintendo released a provisional version of Pokemon Go only in Japan, which was later launched officially on Wednesday with limited availability in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Germany.

L’inizio Pizza Bar in Long Island City in NY said its sales jumped 75 per cent over the weekend by activating a “lure module” feature that attracts virtual Pokemon characters to the store, thereby tempting in nearby players. Features like a way for trainers to interact with each other in the game, perhaps through chat if they wanted to set up a meeting point, or possibly a friends list that would allow you to see which of them were now playing.
