“Once Upon a Time” is an American fairy tale drama and adventure television show that features different characters coming from different fairy tales. That show is, of course, Once Upon a Time. Jonathan Whitesell and Kacey Rohl were tapped to play Hercules and Meg, and they will make their debut in the 13th episode, “Labor of Love”.

The site is also giving a description of the young demi-god that Whitesell will be playing, saying he is “single-minded in his pursuit of his destiny: to be the greatest hero who ever lived”. Meg is said to be “a plucky young adventurer with a sly sense of humor and a tough, no-nonsense spirit”. The two will find love in one another. Meanwhile, Meg (short for Megara) will be portrayed by “Hannibal” alum Kacey Rohl.

However, fans shouldn’t get too excited as the actor and actress are reportedly only set to star in the one episode, which will hopefully change in the future. Both characters, originally from Greek mythology, sound similar to their versions in Disney’s 1997 animated movie Hercules. Where the show originally stuck with stories of such characters as Snow White and Cinderella, dabbling in The Wizard of Oz, Frozen, and now the story of King Arthur have opened the universe of Once up to different chapters of fiction and mythology.

After dealing with the classic British folklore in the first half of “Once Upon a Time” season 5, the residents of Storybrooke will be crossing paths with several characters from the Greek mythology in the second part of the season.
