‘Once Upon A Time’ Season Five To Feature First LGBT Relationship
Chung’s last appearance on Once was back in Season 3, when she left with Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) and his Merry Men after Aurora (Sarah Bolger) revealed that she was pregnant with Prince Philip’s (Julian Morris) child.

In response to EW’s inquiries, Kitsis said that they know that the LGBT community has been big supporters of the program.
We spoke with creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis today following a screening of the premiere to get some intel as to what we can expect. “Whether that’s going to be with any particular character, we’re not going to say”. “This is the world we live in”, Horowitz continued.
The bosses refused to give a hint about which characters would be involved in the LGBT relationship.
While the duo never answers the question of whether this will have anything to do with Mulan and Aurora, there are a lot of possibilities.
The new casting report over at Entertainment Weekly indicated the return of Jamie Chung’s Chinese warrior character, Mulan, in the upcoming fifth season of ABC’s hit supernatural drama TV series “Once Upon A Time”.
Mulan isn’t the only one returning, Meghan Ory’s Red Riding Hood/Ruby Lucas will also have a comeback in Season 5. “We’re going to Dunbroch”, Kitsis says. During the premeire episode, Emma’s family and friends will go searching for her, not realizing she was transported to the Enchanted Forest and is no longer in their “world”. “It’s been a while since we’ve seen Mulan and Ruby, and we’ve been thinking about them for a while”. Other familiar characters would also be back on future episodes. Dare we hope that the two will reunite?
BroadwayWorld has learned that the fairy tale-centric show will explore an LGBT relationship on its newest season.
