Ondrej Pavelec out, Connor Hellebuyck recalled by Winnipeg Jets
Hellebuyck was brought up following an injury to Jets starter Ondrej Pavelec in the team’s 3-2 victory Saturday night against the Arizona Coyotes; Pavelec left the game in the second period and didn’t return to the ice.

Pavelec will be out for all of December and could remain on the injured list well into January or February, head coach Paul Maurice said Monday. “He knows he’s going to get the opportunity to play a bunch of games in a row”, Maurice said Sunday, via the Winnipeg Free Press. “I can’t give you an answer looking at his injury, so we’ll wait until all the doctors have weighed in on him on their diagnosis”.
Pavelec’s injury is a bit of a blow at the back end for the Jets. As a result, Pavelec will miss a few time and the Jets have recalled Connor Hellebuyck from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.
In 15 appearances this season, Pavelec is 5-6-1 with a 2.82 goals against average and a save percentage of.906.

The Jets announced on Monday that the team has recalled forward Joel Armia from the Moose. He was originally drafted by the Sabres in the first round (16th overall) of the 2011 National Hockey League draft.
