Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, took a video of her husband and shared it live on social media.

NYC mayor Bill de Blasio has since offered to plan a block party with Kanye to benefit NYC kids in response to Kanye’s tweet. Kanye West confirmed a pop-up concert following his show’s cancellation at Governor’s Ball. “Kanye wished he could have performed last night and really tried so hard but it was ultimately out of his control!” she wrote.

Webster Hall officials had to cancel the event as it couldn’t contain the multitude of fans and had to call in dozens of police officers to disperse the hyped crowd.

But by midnight hundreds of people had already gathered on E. 11th Street outside Webster Hall as rumors of the show spread across social media, a crowd that grew to some 4,000, according to reports.

Fans eager to get to the venue climbed on top of cars, dumpsters and scaffolding and hung out of windows to get a better view as the rapper appeared through the sunroof of a vehicle.

However, fans weren’t convinced and would not leave the scene of the gig until the police arrived and started to usher thousands of people away from the streets.

After the “Governor’s Ball” he was headlining was cancelled due to torrential rain the “Gold Digger” rapper scrambled to find a location to perform a more intimate set.

Webster Hall, whose main floor has a capacity of 1,500, informed fans that there would be no late surprise show and asked those outside the venue to go home.
