While Malik’s former One Direction bandmates showed their support for their close friend regarding his new deal, producer Naughty Boy took to Twitter shortly after the announcement to seemingly throw shade at the “Night Changes” singer, Hollywood Life reports.
The media magnate congratulated Malik on his new record deal on Twitter.
The remaining members of the band – Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan, sent Malik “all our love for the future”.
Cowell did not hesitate to share his excitement for Malik’s solo career.
His tweet suggested he helped the young performer secure the solo record deal. He’s going solo, signing with RCA and Simon Cowell.
Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake and Kelly Clarkson are amongst the stars signed to the label, which is part of Sony Music Entertainment. Twitter user POCzirry shared this information on her post, which Zayn retweeted.
Was this Zayn’s master plan when he left One Direction? However, fans are being supportive of Malik’s latest music venture.
