One Direction’s hiatus will last two years

Today (November 13) marks a big one for both One Direction and their loyal fans, as their fifth album Made In The A.M. has released.

Liam said the first plan for their break would be a “lads’ holiday” and confirmed that the band plan to ready themselves for a new album on their return. Likewise, “Long Way Down” seems to have a chorus longer than most its verses, and the hook is the least interesting portion of the song.

Apparently that translates into promoting One Direction like insane right now, because Honda has been teaming up with the boy band to do a commercial and the Honda Civic Tour, plus broadcast music from their new album all over the Internets. “When you’re writing, you don’t really sit there going, ‘Oh, people are going to speculate about this.’ You’re writing about personal experiences and what you’ve been through, but they’re not necessarily always so literal”, he tells EW.

It’s been easy enough to be in denial that our favorite British boy band is taking a year off to unwind from the craziness that goes along with being an global pop sensation, but now we’re having to face facts-especially now that we’re hearing there might be two Directionless years ahead! With the strong support of their fervent fan base over the past five years, One Direction has been able to mature largely on its own terms, away from the market dictates of Top 40 radio. “I love being in the band”.

And as Tomlinson said, “History” is about the fans.

“Obviously we’re all going to take a break for a bit first and then consider where we are in the world”. “You kind of think it’s going to end there when somebody leaves”. I don’t know if I could do it by myself now, it’s all too comfortable.

Bella had maybe one of our fave answers ever on how to choose just one of the guys, telling Sugarscape: “Harry Styles if I were to choose one but why not blend them all?” Um.
