Ready to get noticed in an increasingly busy award show scene, the production doubled down on would be large minutes but ended up losing much of its own appeal that was breezy. But the AMAs instead chose to pay respect to the victims of the horrific French terrorist attacks by getting Celine Dion to howl through Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à L’Amour” while stock footage of Paris played behind her, and it felt about as delicate as an anvil to the face.

Carrie Underwood gave a love letter in song to her husband, surprising everyone listening with “Heartbeat”, rather than her current surging song, “Smoke Break”.
He said backstage at the show: “We’re friends and it’s all part of my whole vision when I made Marvin Gaye (which is) for people to hear the record and spontaneously make out with each other”.
Alanis Morissette performed with Demi Lovato. And a clip from the new “Star Wars” film will premiere later in the show.
After the performance, the group stated on twitter that performing on the AMA stage was “a dream“.

The 46-year-old star slipped into yet another sexy look for the post-party, where she was seen dancing and sipping champagne in a high-waisted velvet skirt with a black lace bra.
