Swiss police said they were two of three C-42b aircraft from Germany, flying in formation.

The plane of the deceased pilot crashed into a barn without hurting anyone on the ground.
At least one pilot has reportedly died after two small planes collided at an airshow in the village of Dittingen, in Switzerland’s Basel canton, on Sunday. Nobody else was injured.
The incident happened at the Dittingen airshow near Basel in Switzerland’s north.
The cause of the accident is being investigated, police said.
The formation team has been identified as the German Grasshoppers which fly green single-engine Ikarus C42 airplanes. The third plane of the formation was not involved in the crash and landed safely.
UK police believe the death toll is likely to rise to 11.
