One of Hillary Clinton’s Laptops Got ‘Lost’ in The Mail

The FBI’s release of its records related to the Clinton email investigation offered a welcome respite to the Trump campaign, giving people like vice presidential candidate Mike Pence, the current governor of IN, something other than his running mate’s flip-flops on immigration policy to talk about.

Clinton told FBI investigators that she had used a personal email server “out of convenience” and did not remember anyone raising legal concerns about the practice.

In other words, Mrs. Clinton kept a man banned by her boss on the family foundation payroll, then used Mr. Blumenthal as an off-the-official-books counselor whose memos she spread around State after disguising their provenance.

After taking her oath of office in 2009, Clinton asked former Secretary of State Colin Powell about communicating official matters on a BlackBerry.

Given how the Clintons are dojo masters at covering their tracks and establishing plausible deniability – and given they were aware enough to BleachBit destroy the emails they really didn’t want anyone to see, it is impossible to accept her story that she “didn’t know” or was “unaware”.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi told “CBS This Morning” that the public shouldn’t be concerned about “technicalities” related to the Clinton email scandal and that it was “much ado about nothing, but too much ado”.

Clinton told the Federal Bureau of Investigation that she didn’t pay attention to particular levels of classified information, though she said she treated all classified information the same.

The revelation that Clinton was unclear about the goal of one (c) marking (though that particular email lacked a classified header), combined with apparent confusion about protocol for discussing drone strikes in emails, have led to questions about whether Clinton took classified information seriously.

“She said she believed the “(c)” in several emails could happen to be a paragraph listing format.

The interviewing agent’s notes stated that Clinton swore she had a “limited understanding” of the document classification process; of how and why certain documents are deemed classified.

“For example, Mrs. Clinton told the Federal Bureau of Investigation that she “did not know” that the “(C)” marks on classified material meant classified and “speculated it was referencing paragraphs marked in alphabetical order”. The FBI also discovered she sent or received “hundreds of e-mails” marked classified or confidential outside of US territory, where the danger of hacking is highest. That particular email had been marked as classified at the confidential level, the lowest level of classification.

The exchange focused on a set of talking points that Clinton wanted sent to her. Powell earlier clarified he never suggested she use a nonsecure messaging system.

At least one federal judge is examining whether this was the case as part of a lawsuit against the State Department concerning public access to Clinton’s government records, which the USA government said it had no access to in response to requests from members of the public. He says, “it was discussed that it wouldn’t be discussed, but they know my stance and I know their stance”. The attention being paid to the issue, she called “a distraction” from Congress’ unfinished business.

Mr. Kaine argued that Mrs. Clinton has been forthcoming about admitting her mistakes.

The affected email account belonged to a member of Bill Clinton’s staff. Instead, she apparently speculated the “C” was just used for alphabetizing documents. The FBI was only partially successful recovering data from a private server that had been wiped clean.

“Clinton’s reckless conduct and dishonest attempts to avoid accountability show she can not be trusted with the presidency and its chief obligation as commander-in-chief of the United States armed forces”, Miller said.

Forget the new dump of Hillary Clinton emails. What did she think it meant?

In July, FBI director James Comey said it’s impossible to rule out that Clinton’s server could have been hacked.
