One of three winning Powerball tickets sold in Munford

The announcement of the winners came after the previous 19 drawings produced no jackpot winners.

That brings the total of winners to at least three after an earlier winning ticket was announced in Southern California.

The organizer of a Powerball club in the Plainview-Bethpage area said Thursday morning she was still checking her group’s tickets and so far they had only found about $1,000 in winnings.

No details were immediately available about the Florida victor.

Each of the three winning tickets is worth $528.8 million, the California Lottery said.

Whoever the lucky winners are, lottery officials have some advice: sign the back of the ticket, keep it in a secure location, consult with a financial advisor, and call the state’s lottery headquarters before coming to claim the prize.

It was one of three winning tickets sold.

The California Lottery was created to supplement California public schools.

Lottery official say winning tickets were sold California, Florida and Tennessee, but don’t be disappointed, there were some big winners in Maryland as well.

The six winning numbers were 8, 27, 34, 4, 19 and Powerball 10.

And in Paducah, Kentucky, 11 elementary school workers shared a $1 million jackpot, NBC affiliate WPSD reported.

There was no Powerball jackpot win in South Carolina Wednesday night, but players still need to check their tickets. The jackpot, which had stood at US$1.5 billion for much of the day, eventually crept up to almost US$1.59 billion.

The prospect of a huge payout sparked a ticket-buying frenzy that was expected to reach a rate of $1.3m (€1.2m) a minute during Wednesday’s evening commuter rush hour. The odds of winning the jackpot were 1 in 292.2 million. El Gordo last month showered 2.2 billion euros ($2.4 billion) across the country.

The prize has climbed to an estimated $1.5 billion, easily surpassing all other lotteries.

Powerball sales were “exponentially higher” than normal, Grief said.
