One-year anniversary of Winnipeg woman’s disappearance
Police have since recovered Krull’s glasses and cell phone from the Valley Gardens scene.

The homicide unit is still investigating the case of Thelma Krull, who was 57 when she was last seen going for a walk in her neighbourhood last July 11.
She had gone for a walk that morning, but never came home. He said that if in fact Krull was abducted, it was likely random, not pre-meditated.
One year later, her disappearance is still a mystery.
What happened next is still unclear according to Sgt. Wes Rommel’s theories that either Krull suffered some type of medical distress or was abducted.
“I don’t know for certain if it was an abduction”, Rommel said.
At that same briefing, her husband Bob Krull and daughter Lisa Besser made another plea for information.
Rommel said July 11, 2015 was a warm summer day, and there were plenty of people in the park around 8 a.m. – the time Krull disappeared. Officers specifically asked for help identifying three people who were in the vicinity the morning Krull vanished.
Police released surveillance photos of a woman dressed in a purple tank top, white hat, sunglasses, blue trousers and white sneakers.
“People don’t just disappear”, Besser said. They were seen having a conversation at the dead end of Kimberly Avenue in the southeast area of the park. They are also looking for a man and woman in their 30s who were in the area as well.
“There is a piece of information out there”, Rommel said.

A vigil was held Monday night to mark Krull’s disappearance, with friends and family wearing purple, the same colour as the streak in Krull’s otherwise light hair, and releasing balloons.
