The discussion on the launch date of the OnePlus 6 is still going strong, with May 18th being bandied about by Indian press as the date it will finally be unveiled. The Chinese company hasn’t yet confirmed the OnePlus 6 launch date, but GSM Arena has learned from one of its readers that the device would arrive on May 21. OnePlus will start selling tickets for the event in Mumbai from May 8, and those attending the launch will walk away with Avengers merchandise. Unfortunately, Lau didn’t even mention wireless charging and just focused on talking about the overall look of the OnePlus 6 and how the company believes in having an “honest design”.

The OnePlus 6 will sport a display notch, and it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor.
Apart from the pricing and specifications of the cameras, we pretty much know everything else about the OnePlus 6. “We applied 5 layers of coating Nanotech instead of 3, although the degree of separation between each layer is extremely thin and hard to see”, added Pete Lau. This time, the company has confirmed the glass back panel of the upcoming smartphone.
Oddly enough, OnePlus didn’t talk about some of the other elements that might make their way to the phone. However, they are now gearing up to change their images as they may show a model with the new design.
OnePlus has been putting out teasers of the device and over that, unofficial leaks have literally given us a clear picture of the device.
In any case, the OnePlus 6 is shaping up to be a very interesting phone. There could also be a variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The expected price of OnePlus 6 will be more than $479. The phone is also expected to retain the 5T’s 16MP + 20MP dual rear camera setup. The OnePlus 6 will probably continue that trend, as the OEM remodels itself into a purveyor of genuine high-end devices.
