OnePlus aims to sell 1 million smartphones by year-end
OnePlus has described the devices as its “2016 flagship killer”, and says it has designed to challenge next year’s range-leading Android mobiles. The OnePlus 2 will feature a 5.5 inch HD display that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The 16 GB variant is priced at $329, while the 64 GB model will be available for $389. From August 11 onwards, the smartphone will be sold in the United States, India, Canada, European Union, and China. The company has just wrapped up its VR presentation, and after adjusting our eyes, we’re back to give you the scoop along with the OnePlus 2 release date.

Though some of the specs may look the same, Chinese certified database photos were leaked last week, revealing details like a home fingerprint scanner button, the front camera is relocated, and there will be an autofocus feature. It will come with 4 StyleSwap covers- Bamboo, Black Apricot, Rosewood, and Kevlar.
As for camera, the OnePlus 2 flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1.3microns lens for better imaging even in low lighting conditions, Optical Image Stabilization technology, f2. Let’s start with the outside of the phone, which now includes one of the biggest additions to the OnePlus 2, a fingerprint reader.
According to company’s blog post, “The OnePlus 2 was not created to compete with the flagship from 2015″. In fact, any invite system is less-than-ideal. There is a 3,300mAh battery under an aluminium-magnesium alloy frame that has a jewelry-grade stainless steel built on top.
Another great thing about the smartphone is the USB type-C connector, which has been a much talked about topic in the recent past, however, there was not a single phone available with such connector.
OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau said, “From day one, we’ve prioritized our product and our community above all else – we carefully listened to our users’ feedback and incorporated suggestions in building the OnePlus 2″.
Unique to OnePlus’ phones is OxygenOS, a fork of Android designed to be light, fast, and offer some cool features, such as being able to double-tap the screen to wake the device.
