OnePlus Explains Reason For A 1080p Screen On The OnePlus 3

This sleek new smartphone is as capable as it is striking, and it offers performance that some phones can’t even touch at twice the price. It seems that the latest leak regarding the smartphone is one that really puts rumors to rest when it comes to basically everything regarding the device.

The exact specs of the OnePlus 3 are still unknown, but we’ll find out soon.

But one would be asking – is the upcoming OnePlus 3 really worthy of upgrading from the still magnificent OnePlus 2?

The entire device is made entirely out of metal, sporting a Unibody design, making it just 7.35mm thick. OnePlus 3 buyers will also be entitled to a year’s subscription of Saavn Pro, double data offer for Idea users, damage protection via OnePlus Care, and Rs 500 credit on the Amazon Kindle app. The Le Max2 sports a 21-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0, and supports PDAF, optical image stabilization (OIS) and 4K video recording capabilities. It will come with faster fingerprint sensor. The device features a 5.5-inch 1920×1080 AMOLED display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset and 6GB of RAM.

Android Marshmallow based OxygenOS is what runs on both the phones.

Despite rumours of different models, the OnePlus 3 only comes in a 64GB storage edition with no Micro-SD card slot. Previously OnePlus has launched new handsets with an invite system created to help control stock and demand but that won’t be the case this year as the OnePlus 3 will be available to purchase directly with no invite necessary.

The Amazon India listing also reveals the price. There’s 6GB of RAM in there, too.

There are changes expected in the camera department, with the OnePlus 3 supposedly coming in with a 16MP sensor on the rear as compared to the 13MP found on the OnePlus 2.

Inside their The Loop VR app, OnePlus announced their next flagship device, the OnePlus 3. It has everything we’ve come to expect from high-end Android phones – fast processor, premium design, capable camera, quick charging, a great display – but sells for just $399 unlocked.
