OnePlus X Spotted on FCC Filings

The OnePlus X is expected to be launched on October 12, at a planned company media event in India. According to a report in Gadgets 360, this may be a hint as to the name of its upcoming device, the OnePlus X, which in previous reports is also known as the OnePlus Mini. A device going by model number One E1005 was spotted in the database, which we must assume is the OnePlus X. Its main rear camera is said to be a 13-megapixel one from Sony, which has f/2.0 aperture, can record 4K videos and has dual LED flash. Even though the images aren’t high quality, it does reveal the handset sports a unique design compared to the OnePlus One from 2014 and this year’s OnePlus 2. The bottom of the device looks inspired from the Galaxy S6 and other similar devices, with its drilled speaker holes and plastic antennae bands. This has been mentioned at multiple instance, such as this GizmoChina leak of the OnePlus X renders as well as this recent Weibo post by OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu.

The usual connectivity options will be made available on the device such as Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi and NFC. It will be equipped with a 2450 mAh capacity battery. The document also suggests that it might run OxygenOS, a forked version of Android Lollipop, SlashGear reported.

The phone in question belongs to OnePlus, which was found in FCC listings. It indicates the phone may come with a 5-inch display, Phone Arena reported. The handset will reportedly be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor, paired with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. On-board storage will be at 32 GB. The rear camera will be 13 MP whereas the front will be 5 MP. The smartphone is expected to be aggressively priced around $249 or Rs 16,320 approximately.
