OPL Friends’ Fall Book Sale is packed with great buys

The signs are out for this weekend’s annual book sale.

The sale is being held at the OPL, 220 Broad St., Oneida.

If you cannot attend this sale, please drop by the Friends Bookstore located inside the library and open during library hours. Friends of the Library leader Lilo Duncan said memberships may be purchased at the door for $10.

“There are more people willing to help”. “The Friends are reading champions for our community and their hard work and book sales have provided gifts totaling $1,623,738 to the library during the last four decades”.

Desmarais said the sale usually brings in about $6,500.

General sale hours are from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.to 3 p.m. Sunday.

She added that books that are not sold are either collected for next year’s sale or given to a recycler who will donate them overseas or to other organizations.

Baked goods are also needed for our bake sale and should be delivered Thursday and Friday.
