OPPO F1 with 5 inch HD screen goes official in Vietnam
The first smartphone out the door for this new line of devices is the F1 (not the vehicle racing sport, silly) and instead of making it available worldwide at the same time, the privilege of having it first in their market belongs to Vietnam. The dualSIM phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ColorOS 2.1 which is Oppo’s custom skin.

The OPPO F1 has a 5-inch screen HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels display with 2.5D gorilla Glass 4 Protection. Let’s wait and see until we get a hands on review if the Oppo F1 is really meant for taking better pictures and/or video. The phone in question has however landed first in Vietnam where it is now available for pre-order. Oppo F1 will be launched in India on January 28.

“There’s also a secondary 8-megapixel camera in the front that features f/2.0 lens (1/4” sensor), as well as some software abilities like Beautify 3.0, live color filters and the option to use the phone’s display as a flash. The device powers through its daily tasks through a 1.7GHz octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor and an Adreno 405 GPU. The handset is now up for pre-order at a price of VND 6,490,000 (approximately Rs.19, 400) and will start shipping on January 21. On the storage front, the Oppo F1 includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded upto 128GB via microSD card. The F1 has dual SIM capability and supports LTE connectivity. The Oppo F1 is backed by a 2500mAh battery. Not very remarkable, especially given Oppo’s claims of “photography focus” with the new F-series. The device has iPhone retina flash feature that brightness the display to capture selfies even in the low might conditions.
