Google has revealed a new personal assistant for around the house that can control, run and organise your entire home using just your voice.
Google has released the third developer preview for Android N and showed of some of its new features during the company’s keynote at its annual I/O conference on Wednesday.
The Apps can be accessed from anywhere – Get people to your flagship Android experience from links that would otherwise open your mobile web page – like search, social media, messaging, and other deep links – without them needing to stop and install your app first.
Commenting further on the functionality, Google’s VP of Engineering, Dave Burke mentioned “Instant Apps is really about re-thinking where apps are going, the idea behind Instant Apps is to make the native app experience as convenient as surfing to a website”.
MOVE over Siri, here’s comes Google Home and Google assistant. The power of a stationary, always on device could prove revolutionary in coming years as more smart sensors and devices hit the market.
The key trend of virtual reality also featured during the event as a platform for creating and streamlining virtual reality content – called Daydream – was announced.
Google’s bare-bones entry into the still-nascent field of virtual reality came two years ago when it unveiled a cheap headset made out of cardboard.

While you’ll have to wait later in the year to try out Instant Apps, you can check out Instant Apps in action in video here. Manufacturers including Samsung, HTC and Huawei will have smartphones capable of handling it this fall, according to Google.

Google took to its Twitter account, tweeting: “The biggest changes in Android N are around performance, security and productivity”. Simply called Assistant, the company said that it will make it easier to “buy movie tickets on while on the go, to find that flawless restaurant for your family to grab a quick bite before the movie starts, and then help you navigate to the theater”.
