The banning of women’s nipples may sound normal or even inconsequential as you think, “Well, women’s nipples are more sexual than men’s nipples”.
Last year, artist Micol Hebron created a male nipple “template” to sardonically comment on how women’s nipples were unnecessarily sexualized. At this point, if you’re still clinging to the notion of “well, that’s just the way it’s been”, then you might reconsider thinking of yourself as a rational and progressive person.
Social media has spoken, and nipples aren’t OK. The answer is yes.
Topless men and their nipples, however, are deemed perfectly fine.
McGorry admitted he has only recently started identifying as a feminist but in recent weeks has made up for lost time by campaigining passionately about equal rights. The company’s community guidelines are complicated; “female nipples” aren’t allowed, unless they’re being used to breastfeed or a photo shows post-mastectomy scarring, which is where things get murky for users.
Now, in solidarity for the #Freethenipple movement, Orange Is The New Black’s officer Bennett, aka Matt McGorry, has posted an image of him shirtless with Miley and Chrissy’s nipples photoshopped over his own.

The Free the Nipple campaign has already attracted a strong celebrity backing, with Cara Delevingne, Willow Smith and Rihanna all going public with their support.
