Order: Kane must address leaks from Sandusky case
This, after a judge ordered her to turn over proof of alleged grand jury leaks from the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case.

The judge overseeing Sandusky’s Post Conviction Relief Act hearing ordered Kane to supply the documents last week, after Kane released a public statement claiming a few prosecutors and the former supervising judge of the state grand jury leaked secret information during several grand jury proceedings, including Sandusky’s case.
The response from Kane was due today, and Cleland has stated that it wasn’t sufficient and ordered Kane to appear in court tomorrow to answer questions from Sandusky’s counsel and the court. Last Thursday, Judge John Cleland gave Kane one week to provide, under seal, information about “who, what, when and how this information was released”.
Judge Barry Feudale’s allegations Wednesday are his latest against Attorney General Kathleen Kane.
Sandusky’s discovery requests include documents related to any grand jury leaks, which his attorneys have argued would prove that the grand jury was biased and the charges should be dismissed.
Lindsay told Cleland in September he believed there had been a “systemic breakdown of the grand jury process” and wanted more information about contacts between Feudale and state prosecutors.

The existence of a grand jury investigation into Sandusky was first reported in March 2011 by The Patriot-News of Harrisburg, part of its reporting of the case that won a Pulitzer Prize.
