Google has now listen to users and has made improvements that will help you put documents and media exactly where you want.

Keep your files more organized with the three new features offered for Google Drive.

Probably the most useful new addition to Drive is the ability to move files that pop up in search into folders, regardless of where they’re located.

The company has announced a trio of new features that have added to the Drive and have been rolled out to the users over the past few weeks. Google Drive is helping users make the most of a limited storage space by allowing you to organize files directly from the search results, or from the file preview window. A “Move” icon is now present in the toolbar so you can immediately move files to the folder of your choice. This feature is quite handy for the content that gets shared via Google Hangouts. It’s trying to help you organize your otherwise messy Google Drive and saving you time looking for your files. In 2013, Google released for the first time a report of the active users and it revealed that 120 million people were using Drive.

A report a year ago by online identity management service provider Okta identified Box as a “clear leader” among its business users, but added, “with so many options and new innovations appearing every day, no one’s spot at the top is safe”.

Features recently added by Google include new toolbar options for moving existing files to other locations or for adding new files to Drive. However, in this ever changing world of technology, you never know from where and when the next best thing might come up from.
