The expansion was confirmed during Microsoft’s final Xbox Daily: Live at Gamescom show, as well as by Major Nelson on Twitter.

Ori and the Blind Forest was released earlier this year to critical acclaim and commercial success, becoming profitable after just one week.
The studio also pointed out very minor details about what it plans to include in the new edition, pointing out new areas, mechanics, artwork, and new abilities, however, nothing of the sort has yet been confirmed.
“We spent a lot of time to really read a lot about what people had to say about the original game – what they liked, what they maybe didn’t like”, Korol said.
If you haven’t had a chance to experience Moon Studios’ excellent platform Ori and the Blind Forest, then you’re in luck – a Definitive Edition of the game will launch this Fall for Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam.
What came as a totally odd – yet awesome – surprise yesterday was the announcement of Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition.
