American Idol’s next season will be its last and, already, it seems that the show has plans to go out with a bang: Every former judge will return for the final season, Access Hollywood reports.

Other performers have gone on to carve solid careers. Kelly Pickler, Jordan Sparks, and Chris Daughtery have found critical success in music while Clay Aiken and Jennifer Hudson have found careers on broadway and film. Yes they’ve announced it’s the last season next year, but… after the finale this week and you feel that moment…
That reiterates what Paula said back in July, when she told James Corden on his TV show: “I know that Fox is trying to figure out if maybe the original three would come back for maybe a day or so, I don’t know”.
Idol has paved the way for many reality music shows, specifically the successful The Voice which continues to air now.

The new season of American Idol starts on January 6, 2016 with a two-night premiere.
