Orioles acquire Wade Miley from Mariners
Miley, 29, has now been traded three times since 2014- from the Diamondbacks to the Red Sox, from the Red Sox to the Mariners, and now from the Mariners to the Orioles.

The Orioles haven’t had a lefty starter all year – and now they do as they get Wade Miley from Seattle.
Late on Sunday afternoon, FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman announced that the Baltimore Orioles had struck a deal with the Seattle Mariners to send veteran left-hander Wade Miley to Baltimore.
Acquired in an offseason trade from Boston, Miley has struggled for much of the season with Seattle. He has posted a 3.93 ERA in 19 starts for Triple-A Norfolk so far this year, and does not rank among MLB.com’s top 30 Orioles prospects. If the Orioles felt like Miranda was any kind of rotation answer, they could have just called him up instead. In the final month before the deadline, Miley has totaled a 1-4 record, but his 3.45 ERA is very appealing for teams like the Orioles.
The Orioles will be Miley’s fourth team in the last three seasons. They did not need Miley.
Jon Heyman of Today’s Knuckleball and FanRag Sports (formerly of CBS, so yes, he has reliable Major League Baseball sources), the Orioles and Mariners have agreed upon a trade that would send lefty Wade Miley to Baltimore (pending medicals of course!).

That’s not great either but it’s better than giving up a draft pick for whatever mediocre-or-worse free agent starting pitcher is left on the market in mid-February next year. He is making $6.167 million this season and will make $8.917 million next season.
