Orlando bar making beer free during UCF games until Knights win
The bar is located about 15 miles from campus and they “have taken great pride in the team and we very much consider ourselves a UCF bar, as we’re operated and staffed by graduates and even a few current students”, according to Whitacre.

Whitacre tells ESPN he hasn’t heard from the school’s athletic department about the promotion. Kickoff is set for noon, and the beer will be flowing at The Basement. The Green Wave are 1-2, so this is a winnable game for the Knights, one might think.
Being winless is tought enough, but there have been a couple of close calls for the Knights that have made it a tougher pill to swallow. Because of this tough start, an Orlando bar has come up with a way for fans to cope with what is looking like a long season.
UCF, which beat Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl two years ago, has lost to Florida worldwide, Stanford, Furman and South Carolina this season.

The whole idea and hope for the establishment is that patrons purchase premium liquor and food while cheering on the Knights who play Tulane University this Saturday on the road.
