The footage shows Mateen and Noor Salman making the purchase inside an unidentified store, CBS News said.
Mateen shot him twice more, one bullet apparently aimed for Colon’s head striking his hand, and another hitting his hip, Colon said at Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he is one of 27 survivors being treated.
Seddique Mateen praised his daughter-in-law Wednesday, calling her “the most honest and the most wonderful lady that I’ve ever known”.
Some media reports purportedly based on witness accounts, claim that Mateen was a regular at Pulse.
On Tuesday, President Barack Obama said Mateen appeared to have been “an angry, disturbed, unstable young man who became radicalised”.
“He couldn’t drink when he was at home – around his wife, or family”.
“He’s been going to this bar for at least three years”, Callen said.
Though West knew Mateen by sight, they met for the first time an hour before the son of Afghan immigrants started shooting. “I recognized him from one of the apps but I instantly blocked him because, like, he was very creepy in his messages”.
Authorities said Pulse nightclub still remains an active crime scene while investigators continue to gather and process a “vast” amount of evidence.
Then, there have been multiple men coming forward to say they had seen Mateen at Pulse Nightclub for months.
“I recognized him off Grindr”, Cord Cedeno told NBC.
Mateen, reportedly a frequent visitor at the club, was killed during gun battle with law enforcement officials.
In general, NPR’s Jeff Brady notes, Mateen’s motivations remain murky. “We just don’t know”.
In the wake of the worst mass shooting in USA history, the White House is pushing Congress to legislate “commonsense steps” to curb access to weapons and “make it harder for any individual to get their hands on a weapon of war”.

Mateen, who worked as a security guard, had apparently been investigated back in 2013 for declaring he was a member of Hezbollah, a Lebanese Shiite militia group, and in 2014 on suspicion of watching videos by Al Qaeda propagandist Anwar Awlaki.
