Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman, knew of his plans for what became the deadliest mass shooting in modern USA history, said the law enforcement source, who has been briefed on the matter.

Noor Mateen was with her husband when he recently bought ammunition and a holster, sources familiar with the investigation told ABC News. Salman, according to the source, said she did not and texted him: “Where are you?”
He had also called a friend to say goodbye during the attack, according to law enforcement officials. Mateen also apparently posted “America and Russian Federation stop bombing the Islamic state.I pledge my alliance to abu bakr al Baghdadi.may Allah accept me”.
The three-hour rampage began at 2 a.m. Sunday and ended with Mateen being killed by a police SWAT team.

Although some men told stories of Mateen contacting them on social media platforms used by gay men, gay dating app Jack’d said it has been unable to confirm so far that Mateen had a profile on the service.
Since adolescence, The Times discovered, Mateen has been arrested, suspended and fired from school and jobs multiple times for crimes and misdemeanors ranging from assault to domestic violence to making threats.
Mateen’s former classmate, who did not want to be identified, said he and the suspect together with others would go to Florida gay bars while they were under the Indian River State College training programme as early as 2006.

Being added to the no-fly list will bar both Salman and the elder Mateen from traveling on any commercial airlines.
